I know you have sooo many questions. Here are some answers to get you started!

 

How does Black Diamond Boudoir stand out?

I understand the intimate nature of a boudoir session and the courage it takes to do one. With this in mind, I take the extra steps to build a relationship with you prior to your shoot as a way of getting to know each other and to ease your nerves. You will have direct access to me in order to collaborate and personalize your shoot. By the time you come in, we will feel more like friends instead of complete strangers. Creating an experience as stress-free and fun as possible is my top priority, so you can just focus on being a queen for the day!

Where does the photoshoot take place?

I shoot from my private in-home studio in Rosharon, TX. This is on the south end of the Houston metroplex near Pearland/Manvel area less than 10 minutes from Pearland Town Center.

Do you shoot outside of your studio?

The short answer is no, usually not. However, I will make exceptions depending on the request and additional travel fees will apply. I also shoot in Savannah, GA as I visit there often.

When do you schedule photoshoots?

I shoot in the mornings Monday-Friday. Weekend shoots are limited to availability and have an additional cost.

How long will I be there?

You can expect to spend about 6 hours with me between hair and makeup, photoshoot and same-day image viewing to customize your order and make your purchases.

What types of photography do you shoot?

I shoot traditional dark and moody styled boudoir as my norm. I also shoot pool photos and couples boudoir. As for nudity, I will shoot breasts and bums, but no genitals.

Do I need to buy my own wardrobe?

I recommend buying your own wardrobe, so you can try everything on prior and decide what items you'd like to feature in your shoot (and you'll have it to wear again 😉). I always send a comprehensive wardrobe guide and a list of places I recommend to shop as a way to get you started. If you're still unsure, personal shopping is an available service as well.

Do I have to pay extra for professional hair and makeup?

Nope! I provide this as a complimentary service to my clients, so you can look and feel your best. You can also opt to have a consultation with the HMU artist before your shoot to plan the look you want for your big day.

Do I need to have prior modeling experience?

Not at all. Most of my clients are everyday women coming in for the very first time. I will pose you every step of the way to capture your best angles.

When will I see my photos?

The SAME DAY as your photoshoot! We will look at lightly edited images to pick your favorites. Purchased images will receive full retouching at no additional cost.

How much retouching is done to the images?

I believe in celebrating and loving ourselves just as we are! I keep the images pretty natural with a nice, soft airbrushed finish on the skin. I remove temporary things such as blemishes, scrapes, bruises, etc. but I will leave things such as stretch marks, scars, birthmarks and other things that I believe are a beautiful part of you. I will only remove non-temporary things upon special request.

Are you going to share my photos?

Never without your signed permission! Any photo you see that is used in advertising, on social media and on my website have been approved by the person with written permission.

What products do you offer?

My most popular products are the luxury album collections that are fully customizable to design to your taste. Wall art is also highly popular, where you can choose between fine art prints, canvas or metal prints that are absolutely gorgeous! Other items such as viewfinders, acrylic blocks and smart phone apps are available as well.

Will I receive the digital files?

Luxury album collections automatically include the digitals of all album photos. Digital-only collections are also available.

How long does it take to get my products?

Due to the custom nature of my work, orders do not take place until everything is paid in full. Then, allow up to 4-6 weeks for your order to be ready for pickup. This timeline is usually less, but better to be safe especially if you have a particular event you want your products for. Digital images will be available once the order has been paid in full and retouching has been completed.

I want to shoot with you, but I'll be traveling from out of town. How would this work?

No worries at all! I only need you to come to me one time. We will do your photoshoot and same-day viewing appointment to purchase your order. Once it's ready, I'll ship your products directly to you.

How much does it cost?

The retainer is a non-refundable $349 plus tax to book your session. This includes wardrobe consulting, photoshoot, expert pose coaching and same-day ordering appointment. Professional hair and makeup is also included as a complimentary service. Images are sold separately and the investment starts at $699.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I offer financing options through Affirm and PayPal credit (subject to credit approval). In-house payment plans are available as well.

How do I book?
